Currently, Go Train services connecting Guelph to Kitchener and Toronto run twice each morning and twice each evening. However, Metrolinx has purchased a 53-kilometer stretch of tracks between Georgetown and Kitchener, which will allow for a doubling of services. Beginning in 2016, the Kitchener-Guelph-Toronto line will have four early day services and four evening services, allowing the services to more fully accommodate the mutability of your daily plans. In addition, land has been purchased in Kitchener that will enable the line to accommodate even heavier traffic in the future. These purchases are the first step toward realizing the 10-year goal of all-day, two-way express services connecting Kitchener, Guelph, and Toronto.
